Bipolar Vortex

It’s hella cold outside, folks. The polar vortex that’s swept through most* of the United States has made life interesting these past few days. Yesterday’s commute to work was flawless. The commute home, however, was quite flawed.

Primarily because I opted for a post-work run, for which I’d packed earlier in the day when the temperature was much warmer. Yes, I should have checked the forecast. Yes, I should have packed proper winter gear.

Anyways, the run itself along the Charles was spectacular as usual. Except for the biting wind, the bitter cold, and the occasional nearly-iced-up water puddles.

Taking a shower post-run encouraged a feeling similar to what this building probably felt. If buildings could feel.

I live just south of Boston, and stumbled upon your blog through the topic of #coffee. You made me laugh quite a few times in reading your posts, so I’m gonna follow you and anticipate more fun stuff to come. 😀
